World’s thinnest Android phone, eight nails – one banging video [sledgehammer test]

You should know the drill by now: to create some online buzz for phone X, upload video of said phone being used as a hammer, or being blended and microwaved. The list of gadget-torturing activities goes on. Why should it be any different for the current holder of world’s thinnest smartphone, the Oppo Finder?  Just because the phone is 6.65mm thin doesn’t mean it cannot handle a little bit of pressure test. Will the Oppo Finder succeed or will it crack under pressure?
We’re going to go ahead and spoil the result for you. The Oppo Finder managed to survive after it was used to put some nails to their rightful place in the wooden board from all angles. It survived with nary a scratch or blemish. Real or fake, we’re sure it’ll elicit some online conversation about the Oppo Finder.

In case you missed the news or if the video has suddenly made you long for the Oppo Finder, the phone is available to buy in China for roughly $400. It has a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED WVGA display, dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage, 8MP rear camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Back to the video — It’s safe to say that by now we’ve all accustomed to seeing such tests, so it might not be as shocking as it once were. But still, we can’t help to say “please don’t try this at home. “
