Acer has been a very busy bee in the Android tablet world this year, and the company’s most recent additions to its tab lineup can’t go unnoticed by any self-respecting tech lover. The Iconia Tab A210 has been shown off for the first time back in June without much fuss, but the 10-incher seems to be gaining some momentum.
Although it doesn’t yet have an official release date or pricing details attached to its name, the new A210 might be the subject of an exciting marketing campaign, kicked off with a YouTube promotional video.
The commercial, posted on Acer’s official channel just hours ago, focuses on the tab’s software first and foremost, which is a bit odd, considering that its tech specs and the supposedly advantageous quality-price ratio should actually be its strongest points.
Then again, it’s nice to see one of the big-time tech manufacturers focusing more on the human aspect of a gadget, and not just on cold numbers, facts, and specs. That said, the ad surely is a first, as it runs for almost two minutes without ever mentioning a hard fact about it, be it its processor’s speed, RAM, ROM, or the camera’s sensor.
The family-focused, heart-warming and friendly approach of the ad is surely not very original, however, but I can’t say it doesn’t work in this particular case. Anyway, I’m not going to comment any further on the video and let you watch it for yourselves.
